Sree Cauvery salutes Bapu and the Man of Peace
“An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained.” – One of the powerful quotes of our Father of the Nation.
October 2, 2020 saw the birthday of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, better known as Mahatma Gandhi. The Indian luminary, famous for leading the Indian nation to independence in peaceful means, is deemed an inspirational figure to this day, over 70 years after his death in 1948.
Many forget that Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Man of Peace and the second prime minister of India also shares the birthday with Gandhiji. The Staff and Faculty of Sree Cauvery School gathered on Friday to honour and celebrate the work and words of these two great men in Indian History.
The Simple Ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal and Vice Principal followed by melodious bhajans by our teachers. Some of the important words and views of Gandhiji were shared and discussed among the gathering.
Online Drawing competition was held earlier for lower primary and upper primary students based on this occasion. The drawings of the top three winners from each category were displayed on this day to honour their work.
